Q&A on Effects

Do hair dyeing products work better on some types of hair than others?

Coarse, thick hair tends to be harder to dye. Fine, thin hair generally gives better results.
So if your hair is thick and coarse, you’ll need to leave the dye on a little longer after applying it, and also use a bit more dye than indicated when you apply it.

Also, hair dye penetrates damaged hair more easily. Damaged hair may be easier to dye, but on the other hand the color tends to come out again quite quickly afterwards. That means the color will fade faster if your hair is damaged.

If you want to preserve your new hair color for as long as possible, you’ll need to look after your hair carefully. For example, use hair treatments after you wash it, and don’t go to sleep with wet hair.
